Cormac is Cinematic Once Again
Cormac McCarthy is one of my favorite authors and his dark, uncompromising and quite frankly—hella manly—prose lends itself incredibly well to film. The Coen Brothers and John Hillcoat have adapted “No Country For Old Men” and “The Road” respectably, to both critical acclaim and my own. I like Franco, and Tim Blake Nelson is solid, so I am incredibly intrigued by Franco directing and starring in this adaptation of one of McCarthy’s shorter, but not by any means “less substantial”, works. Shit is/better be gritty!
